The organizing committee decided to organize a hybrid conference, a combination of an online and in-person meeting, if the COVID-19 situation allows this. Oral and poster presentations can be given both online and on the spot. A digital poster session and poster pitches are included in the programme. In terms of presentations, there is no difference between online and on the spot participation.
The registration has been extended with a 1-day online Industry and Policy Day on 26 August 2021! Please note that registration for the Industry and Policy Day is automatically included in the registration for the full GrowingMedia2021 Symposium. However, the Industry and Policy Day can also be attended separately from the Symposium, but registration is necessary through the link above. Choose ‘1-day Virtual Attendence at 26 August only’.
Early-bird registrations for the GrowingMedia2021 Symposium are now closed.
At this stage, it is only possible to register as an online participant. Based on the capacity of the venue at ILVO, we can host a meeting with 100 persons participating on site. Once we have the approval of the local authorities, we can proceed with upgrading the registrations for those who want to participate on site. People who have registered early-bird and have indicated that they want to attend the conference on the spot will get priority to upgrade.
The on-site event may be cancelled at any time if COVID19-measures do not allow for physical gathering at that time. In that case, the supplement of €150 will be refunded. The participant of GrowingMedia2021 is responsible for travel and hotel costs. We strongly advise to check the Belgian COVID-19 measures at that time on https://www.info-coronavirus.be/en/ and travel measures to enter Belgium on https://www.info-coronavirus.be/en/travels/. If you feel sick, please do not come to the conference. If you test positive for COVID-19 up to 7 days after the conference, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can inform the other participants (anonymous).
